NJMET's Scholarship was Awarded to Monica Rosendo, a Passaic County Technical Institute Graduate. Joseph Federico presented it on October 21st at NJMET's headquarters

CLIFTON, N.J. - Joseph Federico, NJMET Director of Operations, announced the company's 25th Annual STEM Scholarship was awarded to Monica Rosendo who attended Passaic County Technical Institute for four years as a Criminal Justice major. She graduated with a 4.2 GPA and decided to continue her education at The College of New Jersey as a Psychology major. However, Monica wishes to specialize in Biopsychology. She currently plans on staying at TCNJ but due to the college credits she brought with her to college her goal is to graduate in three years instead of four. Additionally, after getting her degree she strives to work in the research/lab aspect of biopsychology and possibly get her Masters in the biopsych field. During her time at PCTI, she was part of National Honor Society, World Language Honor Society, Student Ambassador, ASL Club, Student Council, and Crochet Club. With these organizations she was able to give back to her community through events such as Wreaths Across America, crocheting squares to create blankets for those in need, etc. Monica was also part of the Hispanic Heritage Assembly for her junior and senior year, performing a traditional Mexican folkloric dance. Additionally, in her senior year she participated in the Asian Pacific Assembly, performing a k-pop dance.

Monica represents the ninth consecutive recipient from PCTV and NJMET is proud to present this scholarship for the 25th consecutive year and to offer internships to current college students who will learn the intricacies of electronic component testing in the industrial, military and aerospace arenas," said Joseph Federico from their laboratory headquarters in Cliton, NJ.
